Mom will you stop the rain?

This is the conversation that I had with A yesturday....

A: "Mom can we go to the park?"
M: "No A it is raining. I am sorry."
A: "Mom can you stop the rain?"
M; "Sorry A, I can't. Only God can stop the rain."
A: "God makes it rain?"
M: "Yes A, God makes it rain."
A: "Can God stop the rain?"
M: "Yes he can."
A: "I will ask God to stop the rain."
M: "That's a good idea."

Later this is the other conversation I had with A after he lied to me...

M: "A are you telling the truth?"
A: "Yes."
M: I check it out, he is lying.
M: "A you are not telling the truth. You just lied to Mumma."
A: "I'm sorry Mumma."
M: "God does't like it when we lie."
A: "Jesus doesn't like it when we lie?"
M: "No it makes Jesus sad when we lie."
A: "Oh no. Jesus is sad."
M: "No more lying okay?"
A: "Jesus doen't like it when we lie. No more lying."
