S is doing well today. He was part of a study for infants that have RSV and something else (in his case HIB). It's to determine the best course of action for these children. We figure if we can do anything to help someone else we are willing to help. So that study finished this morning and now they are trying to ween him off the ventilator!!!!!!!!!!!YIPPEEEE !!! It's the hurry up and wait stage. He is slowly coming out of the sedative and responding. He is trying to breath against the vent which is a good thing! They just want to clean out his lungs a little more, but as he comes out of the sedative and starts to move around and cough that will help to move all of that out. It is snowing like crazy here, first real snow this year. It is beautiful outside and I can't wait to get home and take the older boys out in it. They are doing well but A keeps calling and asking if he is coming home today. D is loving being with his cousins.
