So the roommates are gone...

It was a sad day Thursday when I had to take my roommates to the airport.. It was also another adventure to add to the book that Melissa, Jen and I had together! Let me tell you all about it.... oh by the way this is a picture of the three of us getting ready to get on the Mount to cruise around Lake Winnipesauke...Ok back to my story... So Melissa's flight was at 12:10 so we figured we would get he to the airport around 11:00 so she would have plenty of time to get through security and everything.. Well it was 9:00 and the car was all packed, and it only takes about 1 1/2 to get to the airport from here, so we decided we would leave and stop in Concord at the Target there to see if they had my tent that I had a rain check for...... So we got there and took our time looking at things, I got my tent! Yipppeee!!! And some other things that none of us really needed and headed out to the car.. When I turned on the car the car clock said 11:00!!!!! It was going to take about 1/2 hour more to get to the airport!!! Yikes! So we hurried off! Got to the airport.. Melissa Ran in and got in line... Tried to do the self check in but because it was so late they had to do it manually.. Well so we ran her up stairs, and for any of you who have ever been to the Manchester airport you will understand this, when we got to the top of the stairs security was backed up three rows wide! Okay so here I am panicking... Melissa looks worried but tries to reassure me that everythings okay, Jennifer looks even more worried and says I don't know.. Maybe we should ask if she could get through faster.. So I start trying to pull out all the stops I asked all the security guards, meanwhile they are paging Melissa overhead, the security guards tell me to talk to their supervisor, the supervisor doesn't even look at me he just says "No exceptions!!!" Well she finally gets through security gets to her gate and the plane is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay so now what? Jennifer had checked into her flight and we all stood there in disbelief! How stupid could I be!!! I did everything I could to try and not cry.. So we went back down stairs got in the ticket line again where there were some crazy people getting very feisty and the ticket agent was yelling at them... Well Melissa finally gets back to the same agent she had the first time and told her what happened. The lady couldn't believe that she had missed her flight as she thought she had plenty of time..Well Melissa explained about security and the agent gave her a new ticket even exchange! We got to see Jennifer off together and the boys, Melissa and I all had lunch together and then Melissa went to sit at her gate.. Which meant we went home! Then that night I called them both to make sure they made it and Jennifer tells me she sat on the runway in the plane for 2 HOURS!!! I can't believe it! I am just glad she had a 4 hour layover in NJ. All in all we had a great week... It was short but we'll do it again soon... Thanks for listening to my story!
