D's 10th Birthday!

D is my party organizer! He is always planning his party for months before it is his birthday! He has a theme, invitations, games and always has an idea for his cake! (the other boys never have any ideas!) So consequently they usually don't have the best planned out parties! 

 DH is great at decorating cakes.. I tried to do it, because his work schedule has been crazy but it was a disaster... seriously, I'll stick to baking the cakes and helping make the frosting and fondant... here is my attempt:

Ok on to the real cake...

 D is into to Skylanders right now so we made the portal and got him some new Skylanders to put on top.

It had been raining all week and we had originally planned an out door party with different game stations, and a treasure hunt.. well it wasn't raining but it was pretty wet outside. We have a small house and we crammed everyone inside, well the kids didn't mid that it was wet outside and spent most of the time entertaining themselves! I didn't get any pictures of that because I was too busy visiting :) But I got tons of ideas from these two sites pluckingdaisies.com  and geekycrafty9.blogspot.com
