Where we've been...
Hello everyone! We are home for at least this week. We have been gone for about 6 weeks! We are having an awesome summer! WE started with Jr. Camp at McFalls the last week in June. There was a great group of kids! What a blessing it was to watch this kids grown and learn about God! 13 teens came to Christ that week! The age group is 9-12 year olds. Then we went to The Keniston Camp for a family get together for 4th of July...
We had a great time with the family. Then we headed back to McFalls Campground for camp meeting. Due to our best buds having a baby due in Aug. DH was blessed to be the Worship leader for the week, so Dh and I along with some good friends led worship. I also led Vacation Bible School during the morning for 20 kids. It was a busy but awesome week. We had a week off and then started the Camp we run Camp MACC (a discipleship camp).
(I forgot in between we also did a BIG benefit concert/ BBQ for Faith Ann if you click on her name you can read her story!)
This year I was blessed to be a councilor not just the co-director. It was great staying in the girls dorm and getting to connect with some great girls! That ended on Saturday and on Sunday afternoon we started mini-camp for kids ages 7-8. it is for one night and one day. We had a great group of kids. DH and I directed and counciled. I only had 2 girls (and my good friend Melyca was there with me!) but DH had 8 boys (granted 3 of them were ours)! Monday night after a 6:30 closing program we packed our clothes and a months worth of supplies up and headed home for the night. I did all the laundry and re-packed so that the boys could go to my Mom & Dad's for the week and packed DH and I so we could spend the week in NH at Soul Fest Tuesday we dropped the boys off at my parents and we drove to NH. We set up our tent and then ran back into Meredith to meet Truett! What a blessing!
Soul Fest was a great time for us. We were blessed to spend some much need time together and with some great friends as well as listening to some awesome music. I have a new favorite band The City Harmonic Band.
And now we are back home.. well the boys and I are. DH is on sabbatical for the month of August (technically he was for July too but as you can see there wasn't really much rest that month!) so he is off by himself. If you are still reading this thanks for enduring through till the end.. I wanted to write this so that I would have an account of our awesome summer! I am sad that in 2 weeks the boys will be back in school... I am not ready for that yet!
